308A.2 FUNDS. The department of natural resources may accept in the name of the state funds contributed by such groups; and such funds shall be used exclusively in the establishment of bikeways as herein provided. Additional funds as may be necessary in purchasing signs and otherwise carrying out the provisions of this chapter may be expended by the department of natural resources if authorized by the general assembly pursuant to appropriations for such purposes; and the department shall be authorized to accept and expend federal funds made available for the purposes of aiding in the implementation of this chapter.          Section History: Early Form [C71, 73, 75, 77, 79, 81, § 308A.2]
