313A.27 FRANCHISES FOR USE OF BRIDGE. If the department deems it consistent with the use and operation of any toll bridge, the department may grant franchises to persons, firms, associations, private or municipal corporations, the United States government or any agency thereof, to use any portion of the property of any toll bridge, including approaches thereto, for the construction and maintenance of water pipes, flumes, gas pipes, telephone, telegraph and electric light and power lines and conduits, trams or railways, and any other such facilities in the manner of granting franchises on state highways.          Section History: Early Form [C71, 73, 75, 77, 79, 81, § 313A.27] Referred to in § 313A.28
