321.72 REPORT OF STOLEN AND RECOVERED MOTOR VEHICLES. Every peace officer upon receiving reliable information that any vehicle registered under this chapter has been stolen shall immediately report the theft to the department unless prior thereto information has been received of the recovery of the vehicle.
