Article 23.--PRELIMINARY PROCEEDINGS

      22-2304.   Form of warrant or summons.(1) The warrant shall be signed by the magistrate and shall contain thename of the defendant, or, if his name is unknown, any name or descriptionby which he can be identified with reasonable certainty. It shall describethe crime charged in the complaint. It shall command that the defendant bearrested and brought before a magistrate, as provided by law. The amount ofthe appearance bond to be required shall be stated in the warrant.

      (2)   The summons shall be in the same form as the warrant except that itshall summon the defendant to appear before the court at a stated time andplace. The summons shall be signed by the magistrate or the clerk of hiscourt.
