Article 27.--UNIFORM CRIMINAL EXTRADITION ACT

      22-2722.   Fugitives from this state; duty of governor.Whenever the governor of this state demands a person charged withcrime or with escaping from confinement or breaking the terms ofsuch person's bail,probation, assignment to a community correctional services program,postreleasesupervision orparole in this state, from the executive authority of anyother state, or from the chief justice or an associate justice of thesupreme court of the District of Columbia authorized to receive such demandunder the laws of the United States, the governor shall issue awarrant under theseal of this state, to some agent, commanding such agent toreceive the person socharged if delivered to such agent and convey suchperson to the proper officer of thecounty in this state in which the offense was committed.
