Article 37.--RELEASE PROCEDURES

      22-3709.   Officers of board; panels authorized; voterequired to parolecertain inmates.The chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Kansas parole boardshall bedesignated by the governor. The chairperson of the board shall have theauthority to organize and administer the activities of the board. Thechairperson of the board may designate panels, consisting oftwo members of the board, which shall have the full authority and powerof the board to order the denial, grant or revocation of an inmate's parole orconditional release, or for crimes committed on or after July 1, 1993, grantparole for off-grid crimes or revocation of postrelease supervision or to orderthe revocation of an inmate's conditional release, upon hearing by one or moremembers of the panel, and by a majority vote of the board.
