Chapter 23.--DOMESTIC RELATIONS
Article 4.--ENFORCEMENT OF SUPPORT

      23-4,105.   Title and purpose of act; severability.(a) K.S.A. 23-4,105 through 23-4,123, andamendments thereto, shall be known and may be cited as the incomewithholdingact.

      (b)   The purpose of the income withholding act is to enhance theenforcement of all support obligations by providing a quick and effectiveprocedure for withholding income to enforce orders of support and to providechildren access to health coverage under their parents' health benefit plans.

      (c)   If any provision of this act or the application thereof to any personor circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect otherprovisions or applications of the act which can be given effect without theinvalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this actare severable.
