24-1104. Same; governing body of consolidated district; election;terms.If the regular annual meeting of the governing body of the Kansasdistrict shall be held within ninety (90) days after the adoption of suchresolution, the governing body of the Kansas district shall act as thegoverning body of the consolidated district. If such annual meeting willnot be held within such ninety (90) day period, then an election of a newgoverning body of the consolidated district shall be held in the manner nowprovided by the laws under which such Kansas district was organized. In anyevent the incumbent board shall serve until such time as a new board shallbe elected. At such election, whether at a special meeting or at a regularmeeting, the new governing body shall be elected as at an originalelection, and any term of any incumbent member of the governing body shallterminate although such term might not otherwise end until a later date.
