Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES Article 12.--WATERSHED DISTRICTS

      24-1223.   Same; contents of petition.The petition for transfer of territory from one watershed district toanother shall be addressed to the chief engineer of the division of waterresources and shall: (a) Describe the territory to be transferred bysection numbers and fractions thereof, and other platted areas asappropriate; (b) state from what watershed district and to what watersheddistrict such transfer is sought; (c) show that the proposed transfer hasbeen recommended by each of the watershed districts affected by resolutionduly adopted by the board of directors of each district; and (d) state thatthe proposed transfer of territory will result in more efficient operationof both districts and will be conducive to the public convenience andwelfare. Such petition shall contain a prayer that the territory describedtherein be transferred from one watershed district named therein to anotherwatershed district named therein.
