Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES Article 4.--DRAINAGE DISTRICTS WITHIN COUNTIES OR CITIES

      24-450.   Contract with railroad company.That the board of directors of any drainage district shall have power tocontract with any railroad company or street-railroad company or companiesto construct, maintain and keep in repair the whole or any part of anylevee in such district upon such terms as may be for the best interests ofsuch district, and for such purpose shall have the further power toappropriate any fund raised by the levy of general or special taxes for theconstruction, maintenance or repair of such levee, and to grant to suchrailroad company or companies the right of way for the construction andoperation of a railroad or railroads over, on, along or across such leveeor levees or any part thereof.
