Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES Article 4.--DRAINAGE DISTRICTS WITHIN COUNTIES OR CITIES

      24-482.   Notice of hearing on application; publication; continuance. That upon the filing of an application with the board of countycommissioners for the formation of said drainage district the county clerkshall cause a notice to be published in the official county paper, settingforth the fact of the filing of said application, the boundaries of saiddistrict and the date when the application will be heard, and apprize allpersons interested that they may be heard at the time and place designated.Said notice shall be published once, and not less than five days before thedate set for said hearing. Said notice shall further state the hour andplace where said application will be heard by said board of commissioners.Said board of county commissioners shall hear said application at the datestated in said notice, or may for cause continue same for any period notexceeding ten days, but not more than three continuances shall be had bysaid board.
