Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES Article 4.--DRAINAGE DISTRICTS WITHIN COUNTIES OR CITIES

      24-492.   Same; bonds.That in order to meet the necessary expenditures to enable the board ofdirectors of any such district to plan works and supervise the expendituresof federal grants or other gifts or grants of funds, and to acquirenecessary lands, easements, or leases, as herein provided, and to furnishthe necessary and proper equipment, maintenance and materials, and fundsfor plans for supervision of expenditures and the proper direction andsupervision of such projects, the board of directors of any such districtare hereby empowered, authorized and directed to issue bonds of saiddistrict which shall be a lien upon all the taxable property of suchdistrict, without submitting any proposition to the voters, in an amountnot exceeding seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000): Provided,however, That not more than one issue of bonds shall be made forcarrying out the purposes of this act.
