Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES Article 6.--DRAINAGE IN ONE OR MORE COUNTIES

      24-623.   Lien of assessments; sinking fund.All the assessments of real property and easements shall be a lienagainst the said property assessed from and after the first day of Novemberin the year in which it is assessed and shall draw interest at the rate often percent per annum from the 20th day of June of the year following suchassessment. And such lien is not removed until the assessments in the samemanner as other taxes against real estate are collected, and the taxationlaws of the state for the collection and sale of land for such taxes arehereby made applicable to the collection of assessments under this act andwhen bonds have been issued by the drainage district the taxes so collectedto pay the same shall constitute a sinking fund to be used for the paymentof said bonds and the interest thereon.
