Article 16.--TOWNSHIP ELECTIONS

      25-1601.   Time; officers elected; term.On the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday in November of each even-numberedyear, a township electionshall be held in each townshipin the state, except in city townships. At the general electionheld in November of 1992 and at the general election held in November of eachfourth year thereafter, there shall beelected for a term of four years, a township trustee and atreasurer.At the general election held in November of 1992, there shall be elected fora term of two years, a township clerk and at the general election held inNovember of 1994, and at the general election held in November of each fourthyear thereafter, there shall be elected for a term of four years, a townshipclerk.
