Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS
Article 20.--SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS

      25-2012a.   Same; when no votes cast, determination of person deemedelected.Whenever at the general election of school officers of any schooldistrict no votes are cast and counted for one or more offices, and ifthere is one or more candidates for any such office, the county board ofcanvassers shall deem to be elected to such office the person indicated bythe provisions of this section. In such a case, if there is only onecandidate for the office, such candidate shall be deemed to be elected. Insuch a case, if there is more than one candidate, the county board ofcanvassers shall determine by lot the candidate deemed elected. The countyboard of canvassers shall issue a certificate of election to any candidatedeemed to be elected under this section.
