25-3209. Tie vote for governor and lieutenant governor; determinationby legislature.If any two or more pairs of candidates running together have an equalnumber of votes for the same office and a higher number than any other pairof candidates running together in a general election for the offices ofgovernor and lieutenant governor, the two houses shall, by joint ballot,determine the election. The president of the senate and the speaker of thehouse of representatives shall deposit in the office of the secretary ofstate a certificate showing what persons have been elected to fill saidoffices.
