Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS Article 39.--FILLING VACANCIES IN OFFICES AND CANDIDACIES

      25-3903.   Vacancies in state legislature or state board of education;how filled.Whenever a vacancy occurs in the office of state representative or statesenator such vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the governor of theperson elected to be so appointed by a district convention held as providedin K.S.A. 25-3902. Whenever a vacancy occurs in the office ofmember of the state board of education, such vacancy shall be filled in themanner provided for in K.S.A. 25-3902a.
