      25-3903a.   Filling vacancy in district office caused by resignationeffective 10 or more days after filing of notice.When a written resignation from a district office asdefined in K.S.A. 25-3901 and amendments thereto has been filed with thesecretary of state or other officer provided by law, and at the time it isfiled there is 10 or more days before it is to become effective, the countychairperson responsible for calling a convention for the purpose of fillingthe vacancy thereby created may call and hold the convention without furtherdelay.
