Chapter 27.--FEDERAL JURISDICTION Article 1.--FEDERAL PROPERTY

      27-115.   Consent given to acquire property under the federal migratorybird conservation act (45 Stat. 1222 to 1226; 16 U.S.C.A. §§ 715 to715r).Consent of the state of Kansas is hereby given to the acquisition by theUnited States, by purchase, gift, devise or lease, of such areas of land orwater, or of land and water, in said state of Kansas, as the United Statesmay deem necessary for the establishment of migratory bird reservations inaccordance with the act of congress approved February 18, 1929, entitled"An act to more effectively meet the obligations of the United States underthe migratory bird treaty with Great Britain by lessening the dangersthreatening migratory game birds from drainage and other causes by theacquisition of areas of land and of water to furnish in perpetuityreservations for the adequate protection of such birds; and authorizingappropriations for the establishment of such areas, their maintenance andimprovement, and for other purposes"; reserving, however, to the state ofKansas full and complete jurisdiction and authority over all such areas notincompatible with the administration, maintenance and protection andcontrol thereof by the United States under the terms of said act ofcongress.
