32-1203. Grants for local government outdoorrecreation facilities program guidelines; portion of grants for handicappedaccessibility and related purposes.(a) In accordance with the provisions of this act, thesecretary of wildlife and parks shall develop and administer a grantprogram to award grants to Kansas local governments for capitalimprovements for local government outdoor recreation facilities. Thegrants shall be awarded annually on a competitive basis in accordancewith guidelines and criteria prescribed by rules and regulationsadopted by the secretary of wildlife and parks. Each grant shall bematched by the local government receiving the grant on the basis of $1provided by the local government for each $1 provided under thegrant for the capital improvement.
(b) The secretary of wildlife and parks shall designate annuallya portion of all moneys appropriated for local government outdoorrecreation grants for renovations and repairs to provide safetyimprovements and handicapped accessibility and other improvements,including improvements to attain compliance with the requirementsimposed under the federal Americans with disabilities act.
