Chapter 35.--HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF COMMEMORATION Article 2.--DAYS OF COMMEMORATION

      35-204.   Arbor Day; display of flag;observance.(a) The last Friday in April of each year is hereby designated as Arbor Dayin the state of Kansas.

      (b)   Each year the governor may issue a proclamation calling uponour state officialsto display theUnited States flag on all state and school buildings and inviting the people ofthe state toobserve the day in schools and other suitable places, with appropriateceremonies.
