Chapter 38.--MINORS
Article 11.--DETERMINATION OF PARENTAGE

      38-1128.   Paternity orders; birthcertificates.(a) Upon receiptof a certified order from a court of this state or an authenticated orderof a court of another state, the state registrar of vital statistics shallprepare a new birth registration consistent with the findings of the court.

      (b)   The fact that the father and child relationship was declared afterthe child's birth shall not be ascertainable from the new birth registration,but the actual place and date of birth shall be shown.

      (c)   The findings upon which the new birth registration was made and theoriginal birth certificate shall be kept in a sealed and confidential fileand be subject to inspection onlyin exceptional cases upon order of the courtfor good cause shown or as otherwise provided in K.S.A. 38-1138.
