38-13a04. Actions for abduction preventionmeasures.(a) A court on its own motion may order abduction preventionmeasures in achild-custody proceeding if the court finds that the evidence establishes acrediblerisk of abduction ofthe child.
(b) A party to a child-custody determination or another individual or entityhaving a rightunder the law of this state or any other state to seek a child-custodydetermination for the childmay file a petition seeking abduction prevention measures to protect the childunder this act.
(c) A prosecutor or public authority designated under K.S.A. 38-1372mayseek a warrant to take physical custody of a child underK.S.A. 2009 Supp.38-13a09, andamendments thereto, or other appropriate preventionmeasures.
