38-1822. Balance of funds and liabilities transferred.On and after July 1, 1997:
(a) The balance of all fundsreceived by thecorporation for change and maintained in interest-bearing accounts in Kansasbanks or Kansas savings and loan associations pursuant to K.S.A. 38-1809, priortoits repeal, shall be transferred to and deposited in the state treasury andcredited to the family and children investment fund.
(b) The liability for all accrued compensationorsalaries of officers and employees who are transferred tothe department of social and rehabilitation services as provided for by thisact and whobecome a part of the department of social and rehabilitation services, shall beassumed andpaid by the department of social and rehabilitation services.
(c) The liability for all accrued compensationorsalaries of officers and employees whoare transferred tothe office of judicial administration as provided for by this act and whobecome part ofthe office of judicial administration, shall be assumedandpaid by the judicial administrator of the courts.
