Article 22.--REVISED KANSAS CODE FOR CARE OF CHILDREN

      38-2251.   Adjudication.(a) If the court finds that the child isnot a child in need ofcare, the court shall enter an order dismissing the proceedings.

      (b)   If the court finds that the child is a child in need of care, the courtshall enter an orderadjudicating the child to be a child in need of care and may proceed to enterother orders asauthorized by this code.

      (c)   A finding that a child subject to this code is a child in need of careshall be enteredwithout undue delay. If the child has been removed from the child's home, anorder of adjudicationshall be entered as soon as practicable but not more than 60 days from the dateof removal unless anorder of informal supervision or an order of continuance for good causehas been entered.
