39-1208. Agreements with and grants-in-aid to charitable organizationsfor employment of physically handicapped.The secretary of social and rehabilitation services, subject toappropriations made for such purposes by the legislature, is herebyauthorized to enter into agreements with and to make grants-in-aid toorganizations or institutions engaging in charitable and benevolentactivities, with the purpose of developing employment for the physicallyhandicapped in Kansas, including severely handicapped cerebral palsiedadults. Contracts entered into by the secretary of social andrehabilitation services may provide for the purchase of land, includingimproved property, construction or alteration of improvements thereon, andthe purchase or lease of equipment required for operation of facilities forthe use of disabled persons.
