Chapter 39.--MENTALLY ILL, INCAPACITATED AND DEPENDENT PERSONS; SOCIAL WELFARE
Article 7.--SOCIAL WELFARE

      39-7,122.   Transitional medical care services; period of assistance;copayment requirement.(a) The secretary of social and rehabilitation services shallprovide transitional medical care services, including extended medical careservices under KanWork, under the medical care plan for medical assistanceadopted by the secretary. The transitional medical care services shall beprovided for not to exceed 24 months after a recipient of assistance becomesemployed and is no longer eligible for cash assistance unless the recipient isotherwise covered by health benefits. Such transitional medical care servicesshall be provided witha 25% copayment requirement during the 13th month through the 24th month.

      (b)   As used in this section, terms have the meanings provided by K.S.A.39-702, and amendments thereto.
