      40-1619.   Same; construction of act; exemption from certain provisions oflaw.(a) Nothing contained in this act shall be construed toenlarge the powers of any insurance entity or to authorize any insurance entityto transact any kind of insurance business which it is not presently authorizedto transact in this state or any other state or territory of the United States.

      (b)   No merger under this act shall be subject to the provisions of K.S.A.40-3304 and amendments thereto.
