Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 2.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      40-222c.   Same; insurance company defined.As used in this act: The term "insurance company" shall mean and includeall corporations, companies, associations, societies, fraternal benefitsocieties, reciprocal exchanges, persons orpartnerships writing contracts of insurance, indemnity or suretyship inthis state upon any type of risk or loss except insurance companiestransacting business pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 40-202.
