Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2217.   Definitions.For the purposes of this act:

      (a)   The term "form" means policies, riders, endorsements,applications, subscriber contracts, or other documents required to befiled pursuant to K.S.A. 40-216 or 40-19a07 andamendments thereto.

      (b)   The term "accident and sickness insurance" means insurancewritten under K.S.A. 40-401, K.S.A. 40-1102(1)(a), otherthan credit insurance, and coverages written under K.S.A. 40-19a02 andamendments thereto. For purposes of this actnonprofit dental service corporations shall be deemed to be engaged inthe business of insurance.

      (c)   The term "policy" means the entire contract between the insurerand the insured, including the policy, riders, endorsements, and theapplication if attached, and such term includes subscriber agreementsissued by nonprofit dental service corporations.
