Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2228g.   Same; definitions.As used inK.S.A. 2009 Supp.40-2228f through 40-2228h, and amendments thereto:

      (a)   The term "clean claim" means a claim that has no defect or impropriety,including any lack of required substantiating documentation, or particularcircumstance requiringspecial treatment that prevents timely payment from being made on the claimunder the Kansas long-term care insurance prompt payment act.

      (b)   The term "claim" means a written proof of loss as defined in paragraph(7) ofsubsection (A) of K.S.A. 40-2203, and amendments thereto, or an electronicproof of loss whichcontains the information required by paragraph (7) of subsection (A) of K.S.A.40-2203, andamendments thereto.

      (c)   The term "long-term care insurance" shall have the meaning ascribed to itin K.S.A. 40-2227 and amendments thereto.
