Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 22.--UNIFORM POLICY PROVISIONS

      40-2229.   Mammogram and pap smear coverage; policies to which mandatedcoverage applicable.Except as otherwise provided, this act applies to anyindividual, group or blanketpolicy of accident and sickness, medical or surgical expense coverage andany provision of a policy, contract, plan or agreement for medical serviceincluding any contract of a health maintenance organization as defined byK.S.A. 40-3202, and amendments thereto, delivered, renewed or issued fordelivery on or after the effective date of this actwithin oroutside of this state or used within this state by or for an individual whoresides or is employed in this state. The provisions of this act shall notapply to any medicare supplement policy of insurance, as defined by thecommissioner of insurance by rule and regulation, any policy oflong-term care insurance, as defined by K.S.A. 40-2227, andamendments thereto, any specified disease or specified accident coverage or anyaccident only coverage as defined by the commissioner of insurance by ruleand regulation whether written on a group, blanket or individual basis.
