Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 22a.--UTILIZATION REVIEW

      40-22a02.   Same; purpose.The legislature finds that in order to promote the delivery ofquality health care services in a cost effective manner, it is necessary toencourage greater coordination between health care providers and those agenciesperforming utilization review of health care services. Effective standards forutilization review activities will protect patients while reducingadministrative costs associated with the review and approval of health careservices provided to patients.
