Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 39.--CITIES AND COUNTIES, PAYMENT OF PROCEEDS OF FIRE INSURANCE POLICIES

      40-3906.   Same; proof of repairing or rebuilding.Any city or county which has adopted an ordinance or resolution under K.S.A.40-3901 to 40-3904, inclusive, is authorized to certify thatin lieu of payment ofall or part of the covered claim payment, it has obtained satisfactory proofthat the insured has or will remove debris and repair, rebuild or otherwisemake the premises safe and secure. In this event, the city or county shall issuea certificate to permit covered claim payment to the insured without deductionpursuant to subsection (b) of K.S.A. 40-3901 and subsection (b)of K.S.A. 40-3903.
