Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 48.--AMUSEMENT RIDES

      40-4803.   Same; local government, insurance andsafety standards.The governing body of any city or county may establish andenforce safety standards for amusement rides and may require insurance in anamount which exceeds the amount required by K.S.A. 40-4802, and amendmentsthereto.The governing body of any city or county may allow, in lieu of an insurancepolicy, an owner or operator to be self-insured.
