Chapter 40.--INSURANCE Article 55.--PUBLIC ADJUSTERS LICENSING ACT

      40-5504.   Application for license.(a) An individual applying for a public adjuster licenseshallmakeapplication tothe commissioner on the appropriate uniform application or other applicationprescribed by thecommissioner.

      (b)   The applicant shall declare under penalty of perjury and under penalty ofrefusal,suspension or revocation of the license, that the statements made in theapplication are true,correct and complete to the best of the applicant's knowledge and belief.

      (c)   In order to make a determination of license eligibility, the commissionershall requirea criminal history record check on each applicant who is not exempt frompre-licensingexamination pursuant to K.S.A. 2009 Supp. 40-5507, and amendments thereto.
