      40-780.   Application of act to exempted societies and organizations;information required by commissioner.(a) Nothing contained in this act shall be construed to affector apply to societies and organizations exempted by K.S.A. 40-202, and amendments thereto.

      (b)   The commissioner of insurance may require from any society orassociation, by examination or otherwise, such information as will enablethe commissioner to determine whether such society or association is exemptfrom the provisions of this act.
