Chapter 42.--IRRIGATION
Article 3.--IRRIGATION AND IRRIGATION DISTRICTS

      42-379.   Compensation of board; bonds of officers; delivery of books tosuccessors.The members of said board of irrigation commissioners shall receive, asfull compensation for their services under this act, $3 per day for thetime actually employed, and not to exceed the sum of $100 each per annum.

      The president and secretary of said board shall each enter into bond inthe sum of $1,000, with good and sufficient surety to the state of Kansas,for the faithful performance of their duties; and the treasurer shall inlike manner enter into bond, in a sum to be fixed by the countycommissioners, in double the largest amount of the money of said irrigationdistrict which will probably come into his hands at any time. All saidbonds shall be taken and approved by the county clerk of the county inwhich the irrigation district is located, and shall be filed in the officeof said clerk. Said president, secretary and treasurer shall, at theexpiration of their respective terms of office, turn over to theirrespective successors in office all books, papers, moneys, and otherproperty of the district.
