Chapter 42.--IRRIGATION Article 7.--DISTRICTS

      42-728.   Same; payments by petitioners may be required.The board of directors, to whom a petition for change of boundaries ispresented, may require as a condition precedent to the granting of thesame, that the petitioners shall severally pay to such district suchrespective sums, as nearly as the same can be determined by the saiddirectors, as such petitioners or their predecessors in title would havebeen required to pay to such district as assessments, had such lands beenincluded in such districts at the time the same was originally formed,exclusive of assessments for water previously supplied to original waterusers in the original district.
