      44-640.   Conditions of employment detrimental to health and welfare unlawful.It shall be unlawful to employ learners, apprentices and minors in any industryor occupation within the state of Kansas under conditions of labor detrimentalto their health or welfare and it shall be unlawful to employ learners,apprentices and minors in any industry within the state of Kansas at wageswhich are not adequate for their maintenance and for more hours in any oneday than is consonant with their health and welfare, except as hereinafter provided.
