Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 9.--CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE

      46-919.   Purpose of act.It is the purpose of this act to provide an orderly and expeditious procedureto aid the legislature in the consideration and evaluation of those claimsagainst the state which cannot be lawfully paid by the state or any agencythereof except by appropriation act of the legislature. A recommendationby the joint committee on special claims against the state that an awardbe made to any claimant shall not be construed as a waiver of immunity fromliability on the part of the state or any agency thereof nor shall suchrecommendation impose liability upon the state or any agency thereof inthe amount recommended.
