Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE Article 9.--CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE

      46-924.   Same; acceptance of payment by claimant final; certain canceledstate warrants.The acceptance by the claimant of any payment made pursuant to this actshall be final and conclusive and shall constitute a complete release ofany claim against the state. Otherwise, the claimant shall proceed witha claim against the state as provided by K.S.A. 46-913, and amendmentsthereto. The joint committee shall have no authority to recommend an awardfor payment of a claimbased ona canceled state warrant if such claim is filed more than five years after thedate the warrant originally was issued.
