47-1511. Planning assistance for feedlots.Upon request of the livestock commissioner, thesecretary of health and environment shall make staff engineersavailable to assist (1) an operator of any feedlot in the state of Kansas,and (2) any person who has applied for a license to operate a feedlot inthe state of Kansas, in the development of plans and in the design for theconstruction of facilities for a feedlot in order to control pollution ofstreams and lakes. Nothing in this act shall be construed as limiting theauthority of the secretary of health and environment in matters of streamand lake pollution as provided for in K.S.A. 65-161 to 65-171h,inclusive, and amendments thereto.
