Chapter 47.--LIVESTOCK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS Article 17.--PET ANIMAL ACT

      47-1704.   Pound or animal shelter license.It shall beunlawful foranyperson to operate a pound oranimalshelter, except a licensed veterinarian who operates such pound or animalshelter from such licensed veterinarian's clinic,unless a license for such pound or shelterhas been obtained fromthe commissioner. Application for such license shall be made on a formprovided by the commissioner. The license periodshall be for the license year ending on June 30 followingthe issuance date.
