Chapter 47.--LIVESTOCK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Article 6.--PROTECTION OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS

      47-650.   Petition to livestock commissioner; hog-cholera-controlorganization.Upon the presentation to the state livestockcommissioner of a petition signed by 50 farmers who are resident taxpayersof any county in this stateasking that they be permitted to establish a county hog-cholera-controlorganization in their county, such commissioner shall notify in writing thepresident of Kansas stateuniversity, and the inspector in charge of theoffice of the United States department of agriculture, animal planthealth inspection service, veterinary services, that ameeting will be held at the county seat of the county at a certain date andhour to perfect the organization prayed for in the petition. All personsattending such meeting shall proceed to perfect the establishment of the______ county hog-cholera-control organization by choosing a president,vice-president, secretary and treasurer and one farmer from each townshipin the county, who shall, in connection with such officers,constitute the executive board of the ______ county hog-cholera-control organization.
