48-208. Appointments and commissions.Officers shall be appointed and commissioned by the governor alone, exceptthat appointment of general officers shall be subject to confirmation bythe senate as provided in K.S.A. 75-4315b, and amendments thereto.Except as provided by K.S.A. 46-2601, and amendments thereto, no personappointed as a general officer shall exercise any power, duty or function asa general officer until confirmed by the senate.Thecommissions ofall officers shall be signed bythe governor and secretary of state and attested by the adjutant generalunder the seal of state.
