Chapter 48.--MILITIA, DEFENSE AND PUBLIC SAFETY Article 2.--KANSAS ARMY AND AIR NATIONAL GUARD

      48-280.   Exchange of certain property in Salinecounty.(a) The Kansas military board, for and on behalf of the stateof Kansas is hereby authorized to exchange and convey the real propertydescribed in subsection (b) and improvements thereon to Mr. and Mrs. JonFlickinger, Salina, Kansas, in consideration for which Mr. and Mrs. JonFlickinger, Salina, Kansas, are hereby authorized to exchange and conveythe real property described in subsection (c) and improvements thereon tothe Kansas military board, for and on behalf of the state of Kansas. Theexchange and conveyance of real property and improvements thereto by theKansas military board under this section shall be executed in the name ofthe state of Kansas and shall be delivered upon receipt of a good andsufficient warranty deed from Mr. and Mrs. Jon Flickinger, Salina, Kansas,to the real property described in subsection (c). Before such real propertyis exchanged and conveyed, the attorney general shall approve theinstruments of conveyance of the Kansas military board to Mr. andMrs. Jon Flickinger, Salina, Kansas, and the instruments of conveyance of Mr.and Mrs. Jon Flickinger, Salina, Kansas, to the Kansas military board andshall approve the title to the real property exchanged and conveyed by theKansas military board and the instruments of conveyance of Mr. and Mrs. JonFlickinger, Salina, Kansas.

      (b)   In accordance with the provisions of this section, the Kansasmilitary board is hereby authorized to exchange and convey the followingdescribed real property to Mr. and Mrs. Jon Flickinger, Salina,Kansas:   Beginning at the SW corner of Block Three (3) in the NortheastQuarter (NE/4) of Section Three (3), Township Fifteen (15) South, RangeThree (3) West of the 6th Principal Meridian, thenceN 00°06'24" W for a distance of 350'-8",thenceN 89°53'36" E for a distance of 400'-0",thenceS 00°06'24" E for a distance of 350'-8",thenceS 89°53'36" W for a distance of 400'-0"toP.O.B.within the Schilling Subdivision, Saline County, Kansas, and containing3.22 acres.

      (c)   In accordance with the provisions of this section, the Kansasmilitary board is hereby authorized to accept title on behalf of the stateof Kansas to the following described real property conveyed to the state ofKansas by Mr. and Mrs. Jon Flickinger, Salina, Kansas:   The South TwoHundred Ninety-Six Feet (296') of the West Four Hundred Seventy-FourFeet (474') of Block Seven (7) of the Schilling Subdivision to the Cityof Salina, Saline County, Kansas, and which contains 3.22 acres more orless.
