      48-293.   Same; application; limitations.The provisions of K.S.A. 48-292, and amendments thereto, shall notapply to anypolicy or certificate providing coverage for any specified disease, specifiedaccident or accident-onlycoverage, credit, dental, disability income, hospital indemnity, long-termcare, as defined byK.S.A. 40-2227, and any amendments thereto, medicare supplement, as defined bythecommissioner of insurance by rules and regulations, vision care, short-termnonrenewable health policy or otherlimited-benefitsupplemental insurance, nor any coverage issued as a supplement to anyliability insurance,workers' compensation or similar insurance, or any insurance under whichbenefits are payablewith or without regard to fault, whether written on a group, blanket orindividual basis.
