Article 22.--CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE; APPREHENSION AND RESTRAINT

      48-2208.   (KCMJ Art. 14) Delivery of offenders to civil authorities.(a) Under such regulations as the adjutantgeneral may prescribe, a member of the state military forces accused of anoffense against civil authority may be delivered, upon request, to thecivil authority for trial.

      (b)   When delivery under this section is made to any civil authority of aperson undergoing sentence of a court-martial, the delivery interrupts theexecution of the sentence of the court-martial, and the offender afterhaving answered to the civil authorities for the offense shall, upon therequest of competent military authority, be returned to military custody forthe completion of sentence.
