49-618. Same; inspections by director of sites; notice of violations;corrective measures.The director or the director's designee, when accompanied by the operator oroperator's designee during regular business hours, may inspect any lands onwhich any operator is authorized to operate a mine for the purpose ofdetermining whether the operator is or has been complying with the provisionsof this act. The director shall give written notice to any operator whoviolates any of the provisions of this act or any rules and regulations adoptedby the director pursuant to this act. If corrective measures approved by thedirector are not commenced within 90 days, the violation shall be referred tothe commission. The operator shall be notified in writing of the referral.
